The Badger LT head is made from 6mm steel, built to hold an edge through repeated strikes on quartz, granite, and other hard rock. The 6mm thickness resists bending under pry loads that would deform lighter picks, and the steel construction is tough enough for bedrock work and root cutting. The head measures 10.0 inches by 3.5 inches, with one end pointed for breaking ground and the other end flat for prying and levering. All Apex picks are manufactured in the USA to the same durability standard.
