We carry Detech search coils for gold prospecting detectors and the Teknetics T2. Most of the Detech coils we carry fit Minelab's GPX 4000, 4500, 4800 and 5000, GP 3000, 3500 and GP Extreme, and SD 2000 and 2100 pulse induction detectors: the 15 x 12 inch monoloop closed coil, the 15 x 8 inch WSS closed coil, the 18 x 12 inch mono open coil and the 18 inch DD closed coil. The 15 x 12 inch monoloop also fits the AlgoForce E1500 Plus. For the Teknetics T2 we carry the 15 x 12 inch SEF butterfly coil, and for Minelab's E-TRAC, Explorer, Quattro and Safari the 4.5 x 7 inch Excelerator elliptical DD. Choosing a Detech Coil for a Minelab GPX, GP or SD

Four of the Detech coils we carry fit Minelab's GPX, GP and SD pulse induction detectors, and they differ mainly in size and housing. The 15 x 8 inch WSS is the narrow one, easier to work along gullies and between rocks. The 15 x 12 inch monoloop is the middle size, a step up in coverage from the standard 11 inch coil. The 18 x 12 inch mono open coil and the 18 inch DD closed coil are the large ones, for covering open ground and old patches. We recommend matching the coil to the ground you work most: a narrow coil where rocks and brush crowd the swing, a large coil where the ground is open and you want more ground covered per pass. Detech supplies these coils waterproof and with a coil cover.

Detech Coils for the AlgoForce E1500 Plus

The AlgoForce E1500 Plus runs GPX 4500/5000 aftermarket mono coils, and the Detech 15 x 12 inch monoloop closed coil is the Detech coil we list for it. AlgoForce does not recommend DD coils on the E1500 Plus, so check the coil type before you fit any other GPX coil to it. The AlgoForce E1500 Plus collection shows every coil we carry for that detector.

Detech Coils for the Teknetics T2 and the Minelab E-TRAC Family

For the Teknetics T2 we carry the Detech 15 x 12 inch SEF butterfly coil, an open-frame coil for covering more ground with the T2. For Minelab's E-TRAC, Explorer, Quattro and Safari we carry the Detech 4.5 x 7 inch Excelerator, a small elliptical DD that works in between obstacles and clutter where a stock coil is too big. Which Detech coil fits my Minelab GPX 5000?

The Detech coils that fit a Minelab GPX 5000 are the 15 x 12 inch monoloop closed coil, the 15 x 8 inch WSS closed coil, the 18 x 12 inch mono open coil and the 18 inch DD closed coil. The same four also fit the GPX 4000, 4500 and 4800, the GP 3000, 3500 and GP Extreme, and the SD 2000 and 2100. Pick by size: the 15 x 8 inch for narrow gullies and rocky ground, the 15 x 12 inch as the middle size, and the 18 inch coils for open ground.

Can I use a Detech coil on the AlgoForce E1500 Plus?

Yes, the Detech 15 x 12 inch monoloop closed coil fits the AlgoForce E1500 Plus, which runs GPX 4500/5000 aftermarket mono coils. AlgoForce does not recommend DD coils on the E1500 Plus, so check the coil type before you fit any other GPX coil to it.
