The Nokta Pinpointer Lineup
Nokta makes three clearly different pinpointers. The Nokta Pointer is the simple one: an 18.2 kHz pinpointer, IP67 waterproof, with a 360 degree detection tip, an LED light, audio and vibration alerts, adjustable sensitivity and a lost alarm, running on one 9V alkaline battery for up to 30 hours. The AccuPOINT is the feature-rich one: a 20 kHz VLF pinpointer with a color LCD that shows battery, sensitivity and settings, Bluetooth for Nokta BT or other low-latency Bluetooth headphones, nine sensitivity levels, 1-Tone, 2-Tone and Iron-Off modes with ferrous and non-ferrous tones, and a 1650 mAh rechargeable battery rated for about 25 hours per USB-C charge. Nokta rates it IP68 waterproof to 3 m (10 ft). The PulseDive is the specialist: a 3 kHz pulse induction detector that switches between a pinpointer and a compact scuba detector, IP68 waterproof to 60 m (200 ft).

AccuPOINT vs Nokta Pointer: Which Should You Buy?
Both pinpointers cover land, beach and wading, and both work next to any brand of metal detector. The difference is in the extras. The AccuPOINT adds a screen, Bluetooth audio, discrimination tones that tell iron from non-iron before you dig, a rechargeable battery and a deeper waterproof rating (IP68 to 3 m, 10 ft). The Nokta Pointer keeps it simple: no screen and no Bluetooth, a 9V battery you can buy anywhere, a flip-over 360 degree tip for scanning the side of a hole, and two hard-shell tip covers in the box, one with a scraping blade.
We recommend the AccuPOINT if you hunt trashy parks or iron-heavy sites, wear wireless headphones, or wade deeper than your knees. We recommend the Nokta Pointer if you want a low-fuss pinpointer, prefer replaceable batteries on long trips, or are buying a first pinpointer. If you dive, neither is the right tool; that is what the PulseDive is for.

Features That Matter in the Hole
Sensitivity control. The Nokta Pointer has plus and minus sensitivity buttons, and the AccuPOINT has nine levels. Turn sensitivity up for a small target deep in the side of the hole, and down to stop false signals in mineralized soil or salt sand.
Frequency shift. The AccuPOINT and PulseDive have a frequency shift that Nokta lists for avoiding interference from detectors running nearby. The Nokta Pointer disconnects its coil when switched off, so it does not interfere with your detector or show up as a target under your coil.
Light and alerts. All three have an LED flashlight for dawn, dusk, night and underwater recovery. Vibration-only alerts help in wind, surf noise or on a quiet permission.
Lost alarm. After 5 minutes without use, each pinpointer sounds an alarm and flashes its LED so you can find it in grass or sand. Holstering the pinpointer after every recovery is still the surest way not to leave it behind.
Which Nokta Pinpointer for Which Detector?
Any of the three works with any detector, so match the pinpointer to where you hunt. With a detector rated IP68 to 5 m (16 ft), such as the Nokta Legend 2, the Score series or the Simplex ULTRA, we recommend the AccuPOINT for beach and water hunting; deeper than 3 m (10 ft), the AccuPOINT sets the depth limit. For land hunting with any of them, or with a FINDX Pro or an Impact PRO, the Nokta Pointer is enough, and the AccuPOINT adds iron tones for trashy ground. For diving, the PulseDive works as both your detector and your pinpointer. The PulseDive 2-in-1
The PulseDive converts from a scuba detector to a pinpointer in seconds. In the set, Nokta packs a replaceable scuba coil and cover, a replaceable pointer coil with a hard-shell case, a belt holster, a security lanyard, a rubber wristband, a battery compartment cover for land use, a USB charging cable and a hard-shell carrying case. It has a built-in 2.4 GHz module for Nokta Green Edition wireless headphones, five sensitivity levels, Rapid Retune and a Dive Mode that locks the keys against water pressure.
