Teknetics Omega 8500, Gamma 6000 and Eurotek Pro
Three Teknetics detectors are in our lineup, all single-frequency VLF machines that run on one 9V battery. The Teknetics Omega 8500 is the top model in the Greek series: 7.69 kHz, Discrimination and All Metal modes, eight target categories with notch, Ground Grab automatic ground balance with manual override, a Fe3O4 mineralization bar graph and an adjustable backlight. We sell it with the 11 inch DD coil, with 10 and 11 inch DD coils, or with 5, 10 and 11 inch DD coils. The Teknetics Gamma 6000 runs at 7.8 kHz with the same style of ground control, a 10 to 99 numeric target ID and 1 to 4 audio tones, without the backlight. The Teknetics Eurotek Pro runs at 7.81 kHz with a preset ground setting and is built for iron-heavy sites, with Fe-Tone iron volume, V-Break tone breakpoint and a 1 to 99 numeric target ID. Our Gamma 6000 and Eurotek Pro ship with the 11 inch DD coil.
Coils, Parts and Manuals for Teknetics Owners
Already hunting with a Teknetics? We stock genuine parts to keep it in the field. The Greek series (Alpha 2000, Delta 4000, Gamma 6000, Omega 8500) and the Eurotek Pro take the Teknetics 11 inch DD elliptical coil and the Teknetics 5 inch round DD coil, plus CORS and Mars aftermarket coils in our search coil range. The original Eurotek uses its own coils, including the 11 inch DD black coil with the plug-in connector. T2 owners can use the Teknetics 10 inch DD elliptical coil for the T2 and the T2 accessory bundle with a 5 inch DD coil. Teknetics and Fisher: Which Fisher Fits Your Teknetics?
Teknetics and Fisher are both made by First Texas Products, and we are an Authorized Fisher Dealer as well. If you want a current Fisher instead of a Teknetics, these are the Fisher models we recommend by Teknetics model. Coming from a T2, look at the Fisher F75. Coming from an Omega 8500, Gamma 6000 or Delta 4000, the Fisher F44 and Fisher F22 are the closest all-purpose match; both run at 7.69 kHz. Coming from a Eurotek Pro, Alpha 2000 or Digitek, the Fisher F11 or F22 is the natural entry-level choice. Tell us your Teknetics model and we will point you to the right detector.
The Teknetics Lineup
First Texas lists ten Teknetics detectors. The Greek series runs from the entry Alpha 2000 through the Delta 4000 and Gamma 6000 to the Omega 8500, and its members share the same coils. The Eurotek and Eurotek Pro are light, simple detectors, and the two take different coils. The T2 series runs at 13 kHz with FASTGRAB ground balancing and a 1 to 99 target ID; the T2 Limited adds Boost and Cache modes. The G2+ is a high-frequency detector with an 11 inch open-frame coil and automatic ground balance. The Digitek is a light model with a 0 to 99 target ID and a 7 inch waterproof coil, and the Patriot runs at 13 kHz on 4 AA batteries with an 11 inch DD coil.
