I was detecting in a very old park where I have pulled a lot of old coins out of with my Etrac, Deus, and now Equinox. I was detecting one early morning by a tree and I had a great high tone when I cut the plug I saw silver!!! It was a sterling silver money clip! When I turned it over I saw a round dark circle shape on the face where a coin had once been attached, so I stuck my hand in the hole, afraid to use my shovel. When I pulled a handful of soil out I saw the gold shining! I had just found my first gold coin!!! A 1911 half eagle!
