This bundle pairs the Nokta Pointer, an IP67 waterproof pinpointer with a 360 degree detection tip and built-in LED light, with the Nokta standard digger and its belt holster. It covers the two jobs at every dig: cutting the plug and finding the target in the hole. It suits new detectorists building their first recovery kit and anyone who wants a dependable, waterproof backup pinpointer.

Who the Nokta Pointer bundle is for, and who should look elsewhere

Choose this bundle if you hunt parks, yards, beaches and shallow water and want a simple, waterproof pinpointer with a matching digger in one purchase. If you dig in roots, clay or compacted soil, the Nokta Pointer bundle with the stainless steel premium digger is the better match. If you want a color screen and a rechargeable battery, look at the Nokta AccuPOINT. All of these are in our Nokta pinpointers collection.

    Nokta Pointer features

    • 360 degree detection tip: the tip detects from the sides as well as the end, so you can sweep the hole wall and plug to find the target fast. Lay it flat to scan a wider area.
    • IP67 waterproof: use it in the rain, in wet sand and underwater along the shore or in shallow streams.
    • Built-in LED light: lights up the bottom of the hole and helps when you dig at dusk or in shade.
    • Adjustable sensitivity: turn it down in mineralized soil or when the plug is full of small trash, and up for small targets.
    • Audio, vibration or both: choose vibration alone when you hunt with headphones or in noisy places.
    • Lost alarm and auto-off: after 5 minutes without a button press, it sounds an alarm and flashes the LED so you can find it; after 5 more minutes it shuts off to save the battery.
    • Interference blocking: when switched off, it will not interfere with your detector and will not show up as a target.

    What is in the box

    Nokta Pointer standard contents:

    • Nokta Pointer pinpointer
    • 9V alkaline battery
    • Hard-shell tip cover
    • Hard-shell tip cover with scraping blade
    • Belt holster
    • User manual

    Added by Serious Detecting:

    • Nokta standard digger
    • Digger belt holster

The scraping-blade cover lets you scrape through loose soil with the tip without wearing the pinpointer itself. A leg holster and security lanyard are sold separately.

    Battery and runtime

The Nokta Pointer runs on one 9V battery, rated by Nokta for up to 30 hours. It is not rechargeable, so keep a spare 9V in your pouch on long hunts.

Where it works well, and where it does not

    • Parks, yards and fields: the standard digger cuts clean plugs in turf and loose soil, and the Pointer finds the target in the plug or hole.
    • Beaches and shallow water: the Pointer is fully waterproof, so it handles wet sand and wading. Rinse it with fresh water after saltwater use.
    • Roots, clay and hard ground: the standard digger is a general-purpose tool. For heavy roots and compacted soil, a serrated stainless steel digger from our shovels, diggers and picks collection is easier to work with.

What frequency does the Nokta Pointer run at?

The Nokta Pointer runs at 18.2 kHz, according to Nokta's published specifications. That frequency gives it good response on coins, jewelry and relics at pinpointing range, and you can adjust the sensitivity with the plus and minus buttons for small targets or mineralized soil. See all of Nokta's pinpointer options in our Nokta pinpointers collection.

Can I use the Nokta Pointer underwater?

Yes, the Nokta Pointer is rated IP67 waterproof, so you can use it in the rain, in wet sand and underwater along the shore or in shallow streams. The IP67 standard covers immersion to about 3.3 ft for 30 minutes, so it is not a diving pinpointer. Rinse it with fresh water after saltwater use. Will the Nokta standard digger in this bundle cut through roots and hard ground?

The Nokta standard digger in this bundle handles turf, loose soil and sand well, which covers most park, yard and beach digging. For heavy roots, clay and compacted ground, a stainless steel digger with a serrated edge cuts much more easily. Browse those in our shovels, diggers and picks collection.
