This kit pairs the Minelab BC10 charging station (3011-0128) with the Minelab charger cables and plug pack (3011-0243), so you get everything needed to charge your CTX 3030 or GPZ 7000 Li-Ion battery at home or on the road, plus the WM 10 wireless audio module.

Do I need the charging station, or can I charge the battery in the detector?

You can charge the CTX 3030 or GPZ 7000 Li-Ion battery with the plug pack alone, so the station is not required. Where it pays off is with a second battery: one charges on the desk while the other runs in the detector, so you are never waiting between hunts. Can I charge my battery in the truck while I'm out prospecting?

Yes. The car charger cable in this kit plugs into a standard 12V vehicle socket, so you can charge on the drive between sites or in camp. If your vehicle has no socket or you want to charge straight from a battery, use the Minelab car battery charger adapter cable (67-90204).

What's the difference between this kit and the WM-10 charger kit?

The WM-10 charger kit is only the plug pack, car charger cable and USB cable. This listing adds the BC10 charging station, so you also get a desktop cradle for the battery. If you already own the station and just need replacement cables, the WM-10 charger kit is all you need.
