White's Electronics Parts, Accessories & Manuals

White's Electronics closed in 2020 and Garrett acquired its assets, but White's detectors such as the Spectra V3i, DFX, Spectrum XLT, MXT, M6 and MX Sport are still in use, and this collection keeps them running. It holds genuine White's parts: battery holders, a rechargeable battery, chargers, the 4 ohm replacement speaker, control box O-ring seals, rod sections, arm cup bolts and thumb nuts, LCD window decals, coil covers and search coils. It also holds free digital instruction manuals for more than 15 White's models, plus White's books, aprons, bags and digging tools. We do not sell new White's detectors; when yours needs replacing, the guide below matches it to a current detector we carry.

Genuine White's Parts by Detector

When a White's detector stops working, the cause is often a part that wears: a battery holder, a charger, a speaker or a seal. Free Digital Manuals for White's Detectors

Lost the paper manual? Our White's collection has free digital instruction manuals: add one to your cart at no charge and download it. We have manuals for the Spectra V3i, Spectra VX3, Spectrum XLT, MXT Pro, M6, MX Sport, MX5, MX7, CoinMaster, Goldmaster 24k, Sierra Madre, TDI SL, TDI Pro, TM 808, TREASUREmaster and TREASUREpro, Bullseye II and Bullseye TRX. If you are buying a used White's detector, we recommend reading its manual first, so you know which controls and accessories it came with. For a reset that clears unstable settings on the V3i, see our Spectra V3i master reset guide.

White's Books, Bags and Digging Tools

The collection also has metal detecting books, including titles by Dick Stout, Vincent C. Pascucci and Lance Comfort, and Ed Fedory's The World of the Relic Hunter, published by White's. For the field, the collection has White's aprons, backpacks and the MX Sport backpack, the Bullseye II pouch, a 6.5 inch stainless steel digging trowel, sand scoops, gloves, a cap, a patch and stickers.

Replacing a White's: Current Detectors We Recommend

When a White's needs a part nobody has, the right replacement depends on the way you hunt. These are the current detectors we recommend, all with an active manufacturer warranty.

  • MXT, M6 and other all-purpose White's: a Multi-IQ simultaneous multi-frequency detector such as the Minelab VANQUISH 460, IP68 waterproof to 5 m (16 ft), or the EQUINOX 900, which adds a Gold mode and ships with two coils, the EQX 11 and EQX 06.
  • Spectra V3i and DFX: for hunters who want detailed control over target response, the Minelab MANTICORE runs Multi-IQ+ with a 2D target ID map that shows each target's ferrous and conductive response.
  • Goldmaster and other gold detectors: the Fisher Gold Bug 2 runs at 71 kHz for small gold, and our gold detectors collection includes pulse induction models.
  • TDI, Surf Master PI and Beach Hunter ID: for beaches and salt water, see our beach metal detectors and pulse induction metal detectors.

Tell us which White's you are retiring and where you hunt, and we will recommend the closest current match.

Is White's Electronics still in business?

No, White's Electronics is not still in business: White's closed in 2020 and Garrett acquired its assets, so no new White's detectors are being made, and we do not sell new ones. Garrett's website has a White's Manuals and Repair section. Existing White's detectors keep working, and this collection holds the genuine White's parts we carry for them: battery holders, chargers, the 4 ohm speaker, O-ring seals, rod sections and hardware, plus free digital manuals. When yours needs replacing, see the current Garrett and Minelab detectors we carry.

What's the modern equivalent of my White's MXT or DFX?

For a White's MXT or M6, we recommend a Multi-IQ simultaneous multi-frequency detector such as the Minelab VANQUISH 360, VANQUISH 460 or VANQUISH 560, all IP68 waterproof to 5 m (16 ft), or the Minelab EQUINOX 900 with Park, Field, Beach and Gold modes. For a White's DFX or Spectra V3i, if you want detailed control over target response, we recommend the Minelab MANTICORE, which adds a 2D target ID map. For a White's TDI, see our pulse induction metal detectors. Tell us your model and where you hunt, and we will recommend the closest match.
