Raytech Compound M is a liquid burnishing compound made for Raytech centrifugal magnetic finishers. Added to the water in a wet finishing run, it cleans and brightens parts while its rust inhibitors protect steel media and workpieces, so it also works as a storage compound between runs.

What is Raytech Compound M used for?

Compound M is a liquid burnishing compound added to the water in a wet finishing run with steel, stainless steel or porcelain media. It cleans and brightens parts while protecting them from rust. Can I store my steel media in Compound M?

Yes. Raytech notes that Compound M's rust inhibitors let it double as a storage compound, so steel media kept in it between runs will not rust. Replacement bowls and media are in our tumbler parts and media collection.

Do I need to take any precautions with Compound M?

Yes. The jug carries a hazard label and Raytech lists a California Prop 65 warning, so wear gloves and eye protection, read the Safety Data Sheet before use, and keep it capped and away from children. See the rest of our Raytech products for machines and bowls.
