Why the Equinox 900

The Equinox 900 is Minelab's all-terrain Multi-IQ detector for coins, relics, jewelry and small gold. Multi-IQ transmits several frequencies at once so target IDs hold steady as ground mineralization changes, and six single frequencies (4, 5, 10, 15, 20 and 40 kHz) are there when a site calls for one. Four detect modes, Park, Field, Beach and Gold, each carry two profiles, recovery speed runs 1 to 8 for iron-heavy sites, and the whole machine is IP68 waterproof to 16 ft (5 m). The 11 in coil covers open ground; the 6 in coil, included in the box, separates targets in trash and fits tight spots. At 2.8 lb on a 3-piece carbon fiber shaft, it collapses to 24 in for travel.
