The Crackshot Youth Snake Chapz FP™ are ASTM F1342-05 certified snake chaps sized for kids, not scaled-down adult gear. They protect the lower leg, where most snake strikes land, while your kids join you for metal detecting, hiking, or hunting in snake country. Available in camo or tan.

- ASTM F1342-05 Certified Protection. Penetration tested to meet the official safety standard for snake protective gear.
- Easy On-Off Design. Outside zippers slip over heavy boots or shoes, so kids can gear up and down on their own.
- Adjustable Height. A 1-inch polyester strap with a quick-release buckle on each chap accommodates growth spurts season to season.
- Wear Over Regular Clothes. Fits comfortably over pants or shorts.
- Youth-Specific Sizing. Cut to youth clothing measurements in eight sizes, including stocky fits.
Snake Chaps or Gaiters for Kids?
Youth snake gaiters cover only the calf. These chaps extend protection up the thigh, which matters for shorter legs that put more of the limb in strike range. If your child only walks mowed paths, a lighter gaiter may be enough; for off-trail detecting and brush, full-leg chaps are the safer choice. One honest note: heavy boots or shoes are still required for foot and ankle protection. The chapz protect the lower leg and thigh, not the foot.
