XP S-Telescopic Stem - Carbon Fiber Lower Shaft for Deus, Deus II, and ORX

The S-Telescopic Stem lower shaft is compatible with the XP Deus, XP Deus II, and XP ORX metal detectors when paired with a D044, D044-A, or D044LITE upper shaft. The carbon fiber lower section threads onto any of these upper stems, so you can use the same telescopic lower shaft across your entire XP detector collection. Detectorists running multiple XP models often keep one spare S-Telescopic Stem to swap between detectors, eliminating the need to buy separate lower shafts for each unit.

The S-Telescopic Stem collapses the detector to 21 inches in length, measured from the lower shaft tip to the upper stem connection point. This collapsed dimension fits inside a standard hiking daypack or vehicle trunk organizer without requiring full detector disassembly. The two quick-lock collars release without tools, so you collapse the shaft in under five seconds. Once you're on site, extend the shaft to your preferred search height and lock the collars, the carbon construction holds its position under normal swing forces.

Carbon fiber lower shafts weigh less than aluminum equivalents, reducing arm and wrist fatigue during 4-6 hour hunt sessions. The material also dampens vibration better than metal, so less shock transfers from ground strikes to your hand grip. Carbon fiber maintains its rigidity across temperature swings, aluminum stems can flex slightly in summer heat or winter cold, affecting coil stability over uneven ground. The S-Telescopic Stem works with any XP coil that mounts to your Deus, Deus II, or ORX detector, including 9-inch, 11-inch, and 13-inch round coils plus elliptical variants. The S-Telescopic Stem uses two quick-lock collars that clamp the inner shaft sections once you've set your desired length. Our team has run this stem across plowed fields, rocky hillsides, and wet sand beaches without experiencing collar slippage during normal swinging. The collars require deliberate hand pressure to release, they won't unlock from detector weight or coil momentum. After extending the shaft to your preferred height, twist each collar clockwise until it stops, the carbon sections will hold that position through a full hunt session.

The S-Telescopic Stem (D03-B) is the lower shaft section only and requires a separate XP upper stem (D044, D044-A, or D044LITE) to form a complete detector shaft.
