The PulseDive is waterproof to 200 feet (60 meters) with an IP68 rating. The dive mode feature locks the controls to prevent accidental activation from water pressure during deep dives. The PulseDive uses pulse induction technology, which ignores saltwater mineralization that causes constant chatter in VLF machines. The PulseDive transforms between detector and pinpointer configurations by swapping the coil attachments. The PulseDive's lost alarm activates after 5 minutes of inactivity, emitting a beeping sound and flashing the LED indicator to help you locate the unit if you drop it during a dive or set it down and lose track of it. The PulseDive's pulse induction technology ignores magnetic mineralization from magnetite in black sand, so it maintains a stable threshold on volcanic beaches without the severe ground noise that VLF detectors produce even with aggressive ground balance settings. Black sand creates false signals in VLF machines because the magnetic particles interfere with the transmit-receive coil balance, but pulse induction doesn't react to magnetic soil. The PulseDive's built-in LED flashlight illuminates targets during night hunts or low-visibility underwater searches. On the beach, the flashlight helps you see into scoop holes or identify targets in early-morning or late-evening sessions when natural light is low. Underwater, the LED provides a reference point to track the unit's position in murky water and helps you examine targets before recovery.

The PulseDive works on land for coin and relic hunting, but pulse induction technology has limitations compared to VLF detectors in low-mineralization soil. You may dig more trash in parks and yards where iron is common.
