Headphones compatible with the Minelab Equinox 800 fall into two groups. Wireless sets pair over Bluetooth or aptX Low Latency, or through the WM 08 module, but none of those are submersible. For hunting in water you need a wired set that plugs directly into the detector's waterproof headphone socket, such as the DetectorPro Gray Ghost Amphibian II, which also fits the Equinox 600, 700 and 900 and the Manticore. How deep can the DetectorPro Gray Ghost Amphibian II go underwater with a Minelab Equinox?

The DetectorPro Gray Ghost Amphibian II is 100% waterproof and rated by DetectorPro as submersible to a maximum of 200 ft. Minelab rates the Equinox series and the Manticore to 5 m (16 ft), so the detector, not the headphones, sets the depth limit. The 48 in coiled cable ends in a waterproof plug that seals directly to the detector's socket; it does not connect through the WM 08 wireless module. Does the DetectorPro Gray Ghost Amphibian II for Minelab have a volume control?

No, the DetectorPro Gray Ghost Amphibian II for Minelab does not have a volume control. DetectorPro removed the inline knob from the original Amphibian and redesigned the internals for louder output, and the sound-blocking muffs cut ambient noise by up to 24 dB.
