Minelab Armrest Kit for Equinox 600/800 & Older X-Terra

The Minelab armrest kit, part 3011-0385, is the factory replacement for the arm cup, rear stand, arm strap and fastening screw on the Minelab Equinox 600 and Equinox 800. It also fits the earlier X-Terra 305, 505 and 705, which share the same shaft. It does not fit the X-Terra Pro or X-Terra Elite, which use a different armrest. If your Equinox arm cup has cracked at the screw boss, the strap has frayed, or the stand has snapped off, this kit restores the whole assembly in one go.

Do you need the whole kit?

The arm cup is the part that usually fails, typically a crack at the mounting screw after the detector has been leaned on it a few too many times. Because the cup, stand and strap arrive together, the kit is the sensible fix even if only one piece has gone: the strap is the next thing to wear out and you will have the spare. Installing it

Remove the old fastening screw from the underside of the shaft, lift the cracked cup and stand off, seat the new cup and stand on the shaft, and drive the supplied screw back through. Thread the strap through the cup slots with the padded side against your forearm and set the buckle so the cup grips your arm without pinching; a snug strap is what stops the detector rocking on your arm during a long session and is the cheapest fix for arm fatigue.
