The Fisher F75 is a 13 kHz VLF metal detector built for serious relic hunting, coin shooting and gold prospecting. Light and well balanced at 3.5 lbs, it pairs fast target separation with FeTone iron audio and DST mode to quiet electrical interference, so it shines on iron-littered homesites and trashy parks. Made in the USA by Fisher Research Labs.

What's the difference between the Fisher F75 and the F75 LTD?

Both run the same 13 kHz platform with FeTone iron audio, DST mode and FASTGRAB ground balance. The F75 LTD adds Boost mode and Cache Locating mode for extra depth and sensitivity, and ships with both the 11 in and 5 in coils, while the standard F75 comes with the 11 in DD coil. Can I use the Fisher F75 for gold prospecting?

Yes. Fisher lists gold prospecting as one of the F75's core uses. Its 13 kHz frequency is sensitive to small nuggets, and FASTGRAB ground balance with manual override handles mineralized ground. For very hot ground or tiny gold a dedicated gold machine goes further, so compare options in our gold detectors collection.

What other coils fit the Fisher F75?

Fisher makes several coils for the F75: a 5 in coil for heavy trash, plus 10 in and 12 in DD coils for more coverage or depth. The Fisher 10 in DD elliptical coil also fits the F70.
