The Fisher Gemini 3 is a different tool from a coin machine: a two-box deep seeker built to find large objects, caches, pipes, and ore veins that ordinary detectors can never reach. Depending on ground mineralization and target size, the Gemini 3 detects large objects 10 to 15 feet deep, which is why cache and relic hunters have kept it in production for decades.
How a Two-Box Detector Works
The transmitter and receiver boxes mount on a three-piece handle and sweep as one unit in inductive search mode, ignoring small surface trash entirely. Big targets only: that is the point. For tracing pipes, cables, or ore veins, the boxes separate for conductive trace work across long runs. VCO audio rises in pitch as you center over the target, so pinpointing a deep cache is done by ear.
