Three steps. First, send your verification: a driver's license with the "Veteran" designation, or a certificate showing your branch of service and your name, emailed to support@seriousdetecting.com or texted to (844) 771-0707. Second, once we confirm eligibility, add any detector on this page to your cart and the 15% discount applies there. Third, check out as normal with free shipping on orders over $99 in the lower 48. Verification is quick, usually the same business day during shop hours.
Why We Do Not Accept a DD-214
This is for your protection. A DD-214 contains sensitive personal information, including your Social Security number, and no store needs that to confirm your service. A Veteran-designated driver's license or a branch-of-service certificate proves eligibility without exposing information that matters. If those documents are a problem for your situation, call us at (844) 771-0707 and we will figure out an alternative together.
Which Detectors Qualify
The discount covers select Garrett and Minelab metal detectors, from beginner machines like the Garrett ACE 300 and Minelab X-TERRA PRO to flagships like the AT Max, Vortex VX9, Equinox 900, and Manticore. Everything eligible appears in the grid above. The discount applies to new units only and does not combine with open box or demo pricing, though our open box collection is still worth comparing, since those prices are often sharp on their own. If a machine you want is not listed, call us and ask; eligibility changes as manufacturers update their programs.
