Protect your large coil with the genuine Minelab 18 inch round coil cover, also called a skid plate. This molded polyethylene wear plate snaps onto the underside of your 18" round mono Commander coil and takes the abuse so your coil does not have to. For deep seeking gold hunters working rocky, abrasive or heavily mineralized ground, a coil cover is the cheapest insurance you can buy.
The 18 inch coil is built for depth on larger gold and deep targets, which means it spends a lot of time low to rough ground. The cover absorbs impacts from rocks and gravel, blocks dirt and grit from packing against the coil housing, and shields the shell from the scrapes of daily prospecting.
