The Nokta 17000255 is the current version of the 9.5 x 5 in coil cover for the Gold Kruzer's stock elliptical coil. It is slimmer than the original Nokta Makro cover, so it adds less bulk and weight to the coil while still shielding it from rocks, gravel and everyday scrapes.

What's the difference between this cover and the older 17000228 Gold Kruzer cover?

The 17000255 is Nokta's current version and is noticeably slimmer. The older 17000228 is the original Nokta Makro design and is a bit thicker. Both protect the 9.5 x 5 in coil. If you still want the original, we carry the older 17000228 cover.

Will a coil cover reduce my detection depth?

No. The cover is plastic and adds only a tiny gap between the coil and the ground, and this slim version adds even less. Re-ground balance after fitting it and keep packed dirt out of the inside. See more gear in our Nokta collection.

Does this fit the larger 15.5 x 14 in Gold Kruzer coil?

No. It's sized only for the stock 9.5 x 5 in elliptical coil. For the big GK40 coil, use the Nokta 15.5 x 14 in coil cover, which is made for that size.
