Teknetics Metal Detectors

Serious Detecting is selling through the last of our Teknetics metal detectors, and once they're gone we'll no longer carry the brand. Right now you can still get the Omega 8500 and the Gamma 6000 brand new, while supplies last, along with genuine Teknetics coils, covers, and free digital manuals for every model. If you already own a Teknetics and just need a part — or you're deciding what to buy next — you're in the right place. Most orders over $99 ship free in the lower 48.

Final Teknetics Stock: Omega 8500 & Gamma 6000

While they last, two Teknetics machines are still available brand new. The Teknetics Omega 8500 is the top of the line — a lightweight, fast, feature-rich coin-and-relic detector with notch discrimination, multiple modes, and a large display — and it's offered with the standard 11" DD coil, as a three-coil combo, and in a waterproof-coil configuration for maximum versatility. The Teknetics Gamma 6000 is the strong mid-tier all-rounder with the same easy interface at a lower price. Both ship with an 11" DD coil and the manufacturer's warranty. When these sell out, they're gone for good — so if you've wanted a Teknetics, this is the last call.

Coils, Parts & Free Manuals for Teknetics Owners

Already hunting with a Teknetics? We still stock genuine parts to keep it in the field. Upgrade or replace your coil with the 11" DD elliptical coil, the 5" DD coil for tight, trashy ground, or the 10" DD coil for the T2 and the 11" DD coil for the Eurotek. Protect it with a coil cover, and gear up with a Teknetics camo finds pouch or cap. Free digital instruction manuals are available right here for the full range — including the Delta 4000, T2 Classic and T2 Limited, plus the Gamma 6000, Omega, Alpha 2000, and G2 — handy whether you're learning a new-to-you machine or replacing lost paperwork. Because no new Teknetics stock is coming in, parts availability is limited and shrinking, so grab what you need while it's here.

Replacing Your Teknetics? Move to Fisher

Here's the good news for Teknetics owners: Teknetics and Fisher are both built by First Texas Products, so moving to Fisher keeps you in the same engineering family — with a current lineup we fully stock, support, and warranty. The match-ups are clean. If you ran a T2, step into the high-performance Fisher F75 — it's built on the same First Texas platform as the T2, so it's about as close to a direct continuation as detecting gets, with later refinements like Digital Shielding Technology and extra process modes. If you hunted with an Omega 8500, Gamma 6000, or Delta 4000, the Fisher F44 and F22 carry that easy, all-purpose feel forward with simultaneous multi-frequency and waterproof coils. Coming from a Eurotek Pro, Alpha 2000, or Digitek, the Fisher F11 or F22 is the natural entry-level step. Tell us your old Teknetics model and we'll point you to the right Fisher.

Teknetics Model Guide

For reference, here's the lineup we carried. The Omega 8500 was the flagship — fast, light, full-featured coin and relic machine. The Gamma 6000 sat just below it, and the Delta 4000 was the popular value all-rounder; all three shared Teknetics' clean, quick interface. The T2 (and T2 Limited and T2 Special Edition) was the high-performance relic detector — fast recovery, great target separation, the enthusiast's Teknetics. The G2 was the gold-and-relic 19 kHz machine, the Alpha 2000 and Digitek the simple entry models, and the Eurotek Pro the budget all-purpose detector. Of these, only the Omega 8500 and Gamma 6000 remain in stock; for the rest, the closest current equivalents are in our Fisher lineup above.

Teknetics FAQs

Is Teknetics being discontinued?

At Serious Detecting, yes — we're selling through our final Teknetics stock and will no longer carry the brand once it's gone. The Omega 8500 and Gamma 6000 are still available new while supplies last, and we continue to stock genuine Teknetics coils, parts, and free manuals for existing owners.

Which Teknetics detectors are still in stock?

The Teknetics Omega 8500 (including a three-coil combo and a waterproof-coil configuration) and the Teknetics Gamma 6000 are still available brand new. The Delta 4000, Alpha 2000, T2, G2, and Eurotek Pro are sold out and won't be restocked.

Where can I get Teknetics coils, parts, and manuals?

Right here, while they last. We stock genuine Teknetics coils (11" DD, 10" DD for the T2, 5" DD, and the Eurotek coil), a coil cover, and accessories, plus free digital instruction manuals for the full model range. Because no new stock is coming in, availability is limited, so order what you need sooner rather than later.

Is my Teknetics warranty still valid?

Teknetics is a First Texas Products brand — the same manufacturer behind Fisher — so manufacturer warranty and service run through the same company. For any in-stock Teknetics you buy from us, it ships with the manufacturer's warranty; for an older machine, contact us and we'll help you sort out support.

What Fisher detector replaces my Teknetics?

Because both brands are built by First Texas, the upgrades line up cleanly: the T2 maps to the Fisher F75; the Omega 8500, Gamma 6000, and Delta 4000 map to the Fisher F44 or F22; and the Eurotek Pro, Alpha 2000, or Digitek map to the Fisher F11 or F22. Tell us your model and how you hunt and we'll confirm the best fit.

Are Teknetics detectors any good?

Yes — Teknetics built fast, lightweight, well-regarded detectors, and the T2 in particular has a strong reputation among relic hunters. A working Teknetics is still a capable machine. The only catch going forward is that the brand is winding down, which is why we point new buyers to the current, fully supported Fisher lineup.
