    Best for

Highlighted icons show the targets, ground and experience level this detector is built for.

The Nokta Jeohunter 3D Dual System is a deep-seeking detector and underground imaging system in one: it finds large metal targets at depths a coin machine cannot reach, and it also locates voids such as cellars, tunnels and caves. This open box unit is a customer return that our team has powered up, ground balanced and run with all three coils before relisting, and it carries the full 2-year Nokta warranty. One unit available at this price.

What's Included with the Open Box Jeohunter 3D Dual System

    • T44 DD search coil, 44 x 36 cm (17.3 x 14.2 in), with shaft
    • T100 DD search coil, 100 x 60 cm (39.4 x 23.6 in), with carrying bag
    • Lithium polymer battery, AC charger and car charger

    Open Box Condition

This unit was returned by a customer and shows light handling wear on the cases and packaging; the electronics and coils are in full working order. We tested every coil, the display, the charger and the battery before listing it. Coverage is the same 2-year Nokta limited warranty as a new system. Other returns and demo units are listed in our open box and demo collection.

    Three Coils, Three Jobs

T100: Deep Search Over Open Ground

The 100 x 60 cm T100 coil ignores coin-sized trash and reaches the depths where caches, cannon and buried structures sit. Two people carry it across a field or a suspected cache site, and the CSTN display draws a 3D graph of the target's shape and depth as you pass over it. Discrimination reads non-ferrous, ferrous, gold, steel and cavity.

    T44: General Purpose and Confirmation

The 44 x 36 cm T44 is the coil you use most: deep enough for large targets, precise enough to narrow a T100 signal to a diggable spot. It shares the T44/T100 discrimination set and 3D display, and it runs about 4 hours on the lithium polymer battery.

T21: Tight Spaces and Smaller Targets

The 21 x 31.5 cm T21 coil with LED indicators works inside cellars, along walls and in brush where the large coils will not fit, and it picks up smaller relics and coin spills the deep coils are designed to ignore. It runs about 8 hours per charge and discriminates non-ferrous, ferrous and steel, plus cavity.

Cavity Detection: Finding What Isn't Metal

The Jeohunter's cavity mode responds to the change in ground signal over a void, so a collapsed root cellar, a filled well or a natural cave shows on the display where a conventional detector reads nothing. For old homestead sites and historic properties, this is how you find the spaces that hold artifacts rather than the artifacts one at a time. It is one of the few systems in our 3D imaging metal detectors collection with both metal and cavity analysis.

Why Serious Hunters Choose the Jeohunter 3D

    • 3D real-time target imaging shows shape, depth and metal class before you dig.
    • Three interchangeable DD coils cover everything from a cellar corner to a two-person field sweep.
    • Cavity detection locates cellars, tunnels and caves that other detectors cannot see.
    • Four-way discrimination (non-ferrous, ferrous, gold, steel) plus cavity on the T44 and T100.
    • Depth reading in centimeters for both metal targets and voids.
    • Ground mineralization handling for the clay and ironstone common on old sites.

What is the difference between the open box Jeohunter and a new one?

Function and warranty are identical. The open box unit was returned by a customer, so the cases and packaging show handling wear, but our team ran all three coils, the display and the charger before relisting it, and it carries the full 2-year Nokta warranty. You save the difference in price. If you would rather have a sealed box, the new Jeohunter 3D Dual System is on the shelf too.

    Answered by John W. · September 2026

Which Jeohunter coil should I start with?

Start with the T44. At 44 x 36 cm it is deep enough for caches and large relics but still manageable for one person, and it gives you the full 3D display and gold/steel discrimination. Move to the T100 when a site calls for maximum depth over open ground, and to the T21 for cellars, walls and smaller targets. All three come in the box. Other deep-search systems are in our 3D imaging metal detectors collection.

    Answered by Richard T. · September 2026

Can the Jeohunter find coins like a normal detector?

Only with the T21 coil, and even then it is not a coin machine. The Jeohunter is built to ignore small targets so it can reach large ones at depth, and the T44 and T100 will pass over a single coin without a response. If coins and small relics are your main targets, pair it with a conventional VLF detector from our treasure and relic metal detectors collection and use the Jeohunter for caches and cavities.

    Answered by Dan P. · September 2026

How does Jeohunter cavity detection work?

The Jeohunter compares the ground signal under the coil to the surrounding ground and flags a drop that indicates a void, then shows it on the 3D display in a separate color from metal. It picks up filled wells, collapsed cellars, tunnels and natural caves that a metal detector cannot see because there is no metal to respond to. Depth reads in centimeters. Compare other advanced systems in our advanced and expert metal detectors collection.

    Answered by John W. · September 2026

    Is the Jeohunter waterproof?

No. The system box and coils are water resistant, so rain and wet grass are fine, but neither the coils nor the control box can be submerged. Keep the box in its leather carrying bag in heavy weather and dry the coil connectors before storage. Every Jeohunter configuration and accessory we carry is in our Nokta Jeohunter collection.
