An open box Nokta Jeohunter 3D Dual System is the full three-coil system at a reduced price. The Jeohunter 3D is a 12.5 kHz VLF detector built for larger buried objects and cavities, with three DD coils in one package: the T21 for conventional searching, and the T44 and the large T100, which add depth detection with 3D graphics. Nokta classes targets as non-ferrous, ferrous, steel and cavity on all three coils, and adds gold on the T44 and T100.

Who the Nokta Jeohunter 3D Dual System suits
The Jeohunter 3D is built for customers investigating larger buried objects and possible underground cavities. It combines several coil configurations with specialized detection and graphical functions. We see it as a specialized instrument, and not what we would recommend for ordinary coin hunting in a modern park.
Picture a historical property where a large buried metal object may be present, and you want more than an audio response. The Jeohunter's graphical functions give more information on certain targets. They are interpretations of signals, not photographs.
How the Nokta Jeohunter 3D reads a target
On the T44 and T100, the CSTN display draws the signal as you pass over a target, and Nokta gives these coils depth detection with 3D graphics; the manual describes a plan view of the target's shape and depth, with depth given in centimeters. The T21 has no display: it works in LED mode, with a power LED and audio, for confined spaces where the larger coils will not fit. Audio is polyphonic on all three coils, noise canceling and threshold are automatic, and sensitivity and ground balance are set manually.
The T100 is a large coil, and Nokta says it can be carried by two persons for a sweep across open ground. Nokta lists the system at 2400 g (5.3 lb) with the T21, 2600 g (5.7 lb) with the T44 and 8450 g (18.6 lb) with the T100. The lithium polymer battery lasts 4 to 6 hours per charge in Nokta's manual, so on a long survey day we would plan charging around the car charger.
Which Jeohunter 3D coil to use
T21, 21 x 31.5 cm (about 8.3 x 12.4 inch): for conventional searching and smaller targets, with manageable coverage in an area with scattered metal. Nokta gives the T21 no depth display or 3D graphics; those come with the larger coils.
T44, 44 x 36 cm (about 17.3 x 14.2 inch): for larger buried targets and when graphical information matters, such as a possible buried metal container at a historical site. The T44 has Nokta's depth detection with 3D graphics, and the displayed result is still not a definitive identification.
T100, 100 x 60 cm (about 39.4 x 23.6 inch): for broad areas and potentially substantial buried objects. It is not the coil for tiny coins among dense surface trash, and its size makes it less practical around vegetation and obstacles.
Ground balance and cavity readings on the Jeohunter 3D
Ground balance is manual on all three coils, so learn Nokta's procedure before you rely on the readings. Nokta warns that a poor ground setting causes loss of depth and can make minerals read as metals or cavities, which matters most when you interpret the graphics.
Cavity detection needs caution. A response that suggests a void may justify further investigation, but it never proves a tunnel, a chamber or treasure; subsurface conditions can give ambiguous results. Before any excavation, consider underground utilities and structural stability, and get an appropriate professional assessment.
One mistake to avoid with the Nokta Jeohunter 3D
Expecting precise underground photographs or guaranteed target identification. A close second is assuming the largest coil suits every target.
Our recommendation on the Nokta Jeohunter 3D Dual System
We recommend the Jeohunter 3D to customers who specifically want a specialized detector for larger buried objects and underground anomaly investigation. Its strongest points are the multiple coil configurations and the specialized graphical detection functions. Related systems are in our 3D imaging metal detectors.
