The XP ICONX is the advanced model in XP's new ICON line: a fast multi-frequency (FMF) metal detector that adds a dedicated 28 kHz mono mode for small gold, six factory programs plus six user slots, seven reactivity levels, and finer half-point discrimination to the wireless platform the ICON introduced, riding on a Blue S-Telescopic Lite stem with a carbon middle section. XP's latency-free wireless link connects coil, remote, and headphones. The machine is IP68 rated for wet sand and shallow water out of the box, and hunts down to 5 meters (16 feet) with XP's BH-02 bone conduction headset. What the ICONX Adds Over the ICON

The ICONX runs the same simultaneous FMF multi-frequency engine as the XP ICON, then extends it where experienced detectorists want more. A third mono frequency at 28 kHz joins the 4 and 14 kHz modes, giving the machine real reach on small gold, fine chains, and other low-conductor targets. Program capacity doubles to six factory presets (Beach and Surf, Wet Beach, Park, Forest, Trashy Field, and Field) plus six user slots, reactivity stretches to seven levels from 0 to 6, and discrimination tightens to half-point steps, so you can trade depth for recovery speed site by site instead of settling for a middle ground. The stem gains a carbon middle section that trims weight and stiffens the swing. Sensitivity (25 levels), 28-segment multi-notch discrimination, PWM and SQUARE audio with stereo morphing, and grab, manual, and auto tracking ground balance carry over from the ICON unchanged.

Where the ICONX Shines

The 28 kHz mono mode makes the ICONX, sometimes listed as the XP ICON X, the pick of the line for gold country: nugget patches, ironstone, and black sand where faint low-conductor signals fall below what lower frequencies can hear.
