Nokta PulseDive Overview

The Nokta PulseDive is a pulse induction scuba detector and pinpointer in one housing. Nokta's patented design swaps the scuba coil for the pinpointer coil in seconds, so one tool handles search work under water and precise recovery on land. The PulseDive runs at 3 kHz with a 40-step frequency shift, has five sensitivity levels and is IP68 rated to 60 m (200 ft). In the 2-in-1 set, the scuba detector is 39 cm (15.3 inch) long and weighs 419 g (14.8 oz) with the coil cover, and the pinpointer is 28 cm (11 inch) long and weighs 286 g (10 oz) with its hard-shell case. Key Features That Matter in the Field

Alerts can be audio, vibration, or audio plus vibration, and the red LED flashes with each detection and faster as you near a target, which helps when you cannot hear a speaker through the water. Dive mode locks the buttons so nothing changes by accident under water: hold the PulseDive upside down and press A and F together. The lost alarm beeps and flashes the LED flashlight when no button is pressed and no target is detected for 5 minutes, which helps you find a dropped unit. One button press retunes the detector; Nokta's manual says not to retune over metal, because that reduces depth, and to retune after changing coils. The 40-step frequency shift reduces interference from other detectors nearby. Where the PulseDive Works Best and Its Limits

Wet salt sand and black sand are where pulse induction earns its place: the PulseDive stays stable in conditions where many VLF pinpointers struggle, and the 200 ft rating covers real scuba depths. Use the dive battery compartment cover for any underwater work; the land use cover gives louder volume on land but cannot be used for diving. Keep one coil and the battery compartment cover attached whenever the PulseDive is submerged or washed, fit the dust cap to the unused coil when working in sand, and rinse the detector with tap water after salt water, with no chemicals. In dive mode, the PulseDive does not detect while held upside down, and it will not enter dive mode while it is detecting metal.
