What Comes in the Box, and What You Add
A new E1500 Plus includes the control box and handle, the carbon fiber shaft with stand, an aluminum armrest, arm strap, coil cable straps, power bank straps, a USB-C cable, and the Quick Start Guide. Two things are not included and are required before you can swing it: a compatible mono coil, and a USB power bank to run it. Both are on this page. Planning for them up front is the difference between unboxing on Friday and detecting on Saturday.
Picking a Coil
The E1500 Plus accepts any 5-pin SD/GP/GPX mono coil, excluding GPX 6000 coils — which opens up decades of Minelab-compatible coils plus current production from Coiltek, Detech, and Nugget Finder. In practice: a smaller round mono such as a 9-inch is the sensitive choice for tiny gold, rough ground, and working between rocks, while larger coils like a 14x9 elliptical or 15x12 mono trade some sensitivity to the smallest pieces for depth and coverage on open ground. The detector's coil optimization function stores settings for up to five coils, so swapping is quick once each is dialed in. Power: Any USB Power Bank
Rather than a proprietary battery, the E1500 Plus runs from a standard USB power bank strapped to the shaft. A 10,000 mAh bank covers a typical full day of detecting, and a second bank in the truck removes any question of running out mid-hunt. It also means replacement power costs a fraction of what a proprietary pack would, and a bank that dies years from now is replaced from any electronics shelf.
Firmware Versions and Manuals
AlgoForce issues free firmware updates for the E1500 series, and each release has its own documentation — you will find the V3.0.0, V2.0.0, and V1.13 manuals here along with the current Quick Start Guide. Check which version your unit is running before downloading, since menu structure and mode behavior changed between releases. Version 3.0.0 added a simplified Standard Mode for newer users while keeping full manual control of the four detection modes for experienced prospectors.
