No, you do not need a 12 volt battery to run the Gold Cube 4 Stack Deluxe with the 120 volt power supply. The included Camel Mining supply plugs into a wall outlet (100 to 240 V AC in) and puts out 12 V DC at 3.5 amps, the same 12 volt feed the Gold Cube pump runs on, so you can recirculate a tub of water at home or at a camp with hookups. What is the difference between the Gold Cube 3 Stack Deluxe and the 4 Stack Deluxe?

The difference between the Gold Cube 3 Stack Deluxe and the 4 Stack Deluxe is one separator tray. The 3 Stack runs a slick plate over two trays; the 4 Stack adds a third, giving fine or flat gold and heavy black sand one more vortex stage before discharge. Both are rated for up to 1,000 lbs of classified material an hour and ship with stand, 12 volt pump, hose, and adapters. Yes, the Gold Cube 4 Stack Deluxe needs classified material: Gold Cube specifies 1/8 inch or finer before it goes over the slick plate. Screening first keeps oversize rock out of the trays, lets you feed at a steady rate instead of in surges, and is what turns the rated 1,000 lbs an hour into a coffee cup of concentrates.
