Use it to replace a damaged middle shaft and armrest together, or to move an early Legend from the older closed-cuff armrest to Nokta's current armrest design in one step.

Who the Nokta 17000651 shaft and armrest kit is for

• Original Nokta Legend owners replacing both parts: if the middle shaft is cracked or bent and the armrest is worn or broken, this kit replaces both at once.
• Early Legend owners with the older armrest: some early Legends shipped with Nokta's older 17000685 armrest, which has a solid, closed cuff. The 17000689 armrest in this kit is Nokta's current design, with a large open cutout in the cuff.
• Owners who want a spare upper assembly: a spare middle shaft and armrest keeps a Legend in the field if the original breaks on a trip.

Nokta lists both parts in this kit for The Legend and also for the Simplex LITE, Simplex ULTRA, Score, Double Score, Triple Score, FINDX and FINDX Pro, so the kit fits those detectors as well. Owners of those models usually need only one of the two parts.

Installing the shaft and armrest

Open the shaft lock and slide out the lower shaft. Remove the control box, then take the old middle shaft and armrest off together. Fit the new armrest to the carbon fiber middle shaft with the armrest's mounting hardware, refit the control box, and slide the lower shaft back in. Move your strap over, re-wrap the coil cable along the shaft, and set your length with the lower shaft lock.
