Why the F70 Earned Its Keep
The F70 runs a single 13 kHz frequency tuned for small and low-conductivity targets, with All Metal Auto-Tune, a large LCD, static pinpoint with variable audio pitch and depth reading, and GroundGrab to handle changing ground without constant manual tracking. It is light enough for all-day swinging and stable enough for mineralized farm fields and freshwater sites, which is why F70 owners tend to keep them running long after newer machines arrive.
Coils That Fit the F70
Every Fisher coil here is electrostatically shielded and waterproof. The 11 in DD Bi-Axial covers ground fast and reaches deep targets, and it fits both the F70 and F75. The 10 in black elliptical is the prospecting and nugget-hunting choice, also compatible with the F75 and Teknetics Patriot. The 10x5 in DD white elliptical handles mineralized and trashy ground more smoothly than a concentric, and fits the F75, F70 and F19. That cross-compatibility means coils you buy for an F70 are not stranded if you change machines later.
Availability and the Upgrade Path
Complete F70s now appear here mainly as occasional open box units, and they move fast. If you cannot find one, the closest current step is the Fisher F75, which shares the F70's coil family, so an 11 in DD or 10 in elliptical bought today carries over. The 19 kHz Fisher F19 covers the relic and gold end of what the F70 did. See the full Fisher lineup for everything currently shipping.
