Garrett Super Wand Hand-Held Security Metal Detector

The Garrett SuperWand is a hand-held security metal detector for screening people at entrances, events and security checkpoints, with a 360 degree detection field, a pinpointing tip and an audible or silent vibrating alarm. Garrett builds it for secondary screening by security professionals at airports, courthouses and other high-risk settings.

Where the Garrett SuperWand works, and its limits

What we like about the SuperWand is the large scanning area and straightforward operation for screening people at entrances, events and security checkpoints. A useful example is checking whether someone has a metal object in a pocket or waistband without a physical search. Keep in mind that the SuperWand detects metal; it does not identify whether an object is dangerous. The common mistake is presenting it as a treasure-hunting pinpointer. For locating a coin in a recovery hole, we recommend the Garrett PRO-Pointer AT from our Garrett pinpointers range. Maintain a consistent scanning distance as you move the SuperWand over a person.
