Hand-classifying is the part of the day that quietly costs you gold. Every bucket you screen by hand is time you are not running material, and the fatigue that builds over an afternoon is what makes people call it early with paydirt still in the ground. The Gold Cube Trommel takes that job off you. It mounts on top of the Gold Cube you already own, classifies to 3/16 inch as you feed it, and washes the material on the way through, so you can pour in raw dirt and keep pouring.
Adjustable Pitch: One Machine for the Creek and the Beach
The pitch adjuster is the control that makes this a two-environment machine. Raise the pitch and material moves fast, which is what you want on light creek gravels. Drop it and the barrel holds material longer, giving heavy sand more time under the sprayers before it reaches the cube. Beach sand and creek gravel behave nothing alike, and without pitch control you end up buying a setup for one and compromising on the other.
Both the hopper and the barrel carry their own sprayers. That does two jobs at once: material gets cleaned automatically on the way through, and the cube below receives the right volume of water without you managing flow separately.
Is This the Right Buy for You?
Two cases where it is not. If you are only running small volumes of already-classified concentrates, the trommel is more machine than your workflow needs and your money is better spent elsewhere in the recovery chain. And if you do not own a Gold Cube yet, do not start here. The 3-Stack Deluxe kit and the 4-Stack Deluxe kit pair the cube, this trommel, and the Nugget Zone highbanker in one purchase and work out better than assembling the same setup piece by piece.
Where it pays for itself is high-volume days: raw material, no pre-screening, one person feeding continuously instead of splitting time between a classifier and the cube.
Installation and Removal
All the mounting hardware ships with the trommel, along with a template that marks your hole positions. You need a drill and a few minutes. No measuring, no fabrication.
It also comes back off, which matters more than it sounds. Pull the trommel when you want to run the cube bare or pair it with a Gold Banker, then remount it for the next trip. If you run the trommel most of the time, a blank tray covers the tray position the trommel occupies.
Power
The drive is a low-energy 12-volt gear motor. It retrofits to the pump already feeding your Gold Cube, so you are not adding a second pump or a second power source to the setup you already haul to the water.
