Compact Hand Pump for Hard-to-Reach Gold Recovery

The Quick Sniper Hand Pump gets into tight spots where standard equipment won't fit. This compact crevice tool works both above water and fully submerged, making it perfect for extracting gold from rock cracks, under boulders, and behind obstructions that larger dredges can't access.

    Key Features

    • Flexible, virtually unbreakable nozzle reaches into narrow crevices
    • Internal cavity separates heavy material from lighter sediments automatically
    • Works above water or completely submerged for versatile prospecting
    • Under 24 inches long - fits easily in any backpack
    • Durable leather plunger cup provides strong, consistent suction
    • Adjustable blue extension tube adds 4-5 inches of reach

    How the Separation System Works

Inside the nozzle, a short internal pipe creates a cavity that holds heavier materials like gold flakes and dense black sands. You can pump 4 to 5 strokes before emptying, while lighter material naturally flushes back into the water. A gentle shake settles the heaviest concentrates deeper into the chamber before dumping into your pan.

This separation happens automatically - no adjustments needed. The design lets you focus on working productive crevices instead of constantly emptying material.

    Built for Field Durability

The leather plunger cup lasts much longer than rubber alternatives. Just soak it in cool water for 10-15 minutes before your first use. The rounded rim design makes removal and replacement simple without tearing the leather.

Perfect companion to larger Gold-N-Sand prospecting equipment or as a standalone tool for targeted crevice work. Pairs well with traditional gold prospecting supplies like pans and classifiers.

Do I need to do anything to the leather plunger cup before the first use?

Yes. Soak the leather plunger cup in cool water for 10 to 15 minutes before you take the Quick Sniper out the first time. The leather needs to swell slightly so it seals properly, and a dry cup will feel weak on the first few strokes. After that it holds suction well and lasts considerably longer than a rubber cup. When it eventually wears out, the rounded rim lets you pull and replace it without tearing the leather.

Can you use the Quick Sniper hand pump fully underwater?

Yes. The Quick Sniper works above water and completely submerged, which is the point of the flexible nozzle. You can reach into a crack under a boulder while the tool stays under. Expect roughly 4 to 5 strokes before you need to empty it. A gentle shake settles the heaviest concentrates down into the internal cavity, and the lighter material flushes back out on its own, so what you dump into your pan is already partly separated.

How is the Quick Sniper different from the X-Stream Hybrid Pro hand dredge?

They do different jobs. The X-Stream Hybrid Pro hand dredge moves real volume and is what you want for working a productive stretch of gravel. The Quick Sniper is a targeted crevice tool: under 24 inches long, small enough for a daypack, and able to get into cracks and pockets the larger dredge physically cannot enter. Prospectors who own both typically use the dredge for bulk material and the Sniper for cleaning out the tight spots afterward.
