Minelab EQUINOX 900 with EQX 15 Coil, PRO-FIND 40 Pinpointer and Backpack

This listing is the Minelab EQUINOX 900 with a Minelab EQX 15 coil, a PRO-FIND 40 pinpointer and a Minelab Backpack from Serious Detecting. The Minelab EQUINOX 900 is a waterproof Multi-IQ metal detector for coins, relics, beaches and gold prospecting, with four search modes including Gold, six single frequencies and two coils in the box. It suits someone who wants coils for open ground and for trashy sites, a pinpointer and a way to carry it all from the start.

What the add-ons in this Minelab EQUINOX 900 bundle do

EQX 15 coil: a 15 x 12 inch elliptical Double-D that Minelab describes as waterproof, alongside the EQX 11 and EQX 06 from the EQUINOX 900 box. In our experience a larger coil covers open fields and beaches faster but gives up some separation in dense iron, where the 6 inch coil is the better tool, so you can match the coil to the site. See our metal detector coils.

PRO-FIND 40 pinpointer: the EQUINOX 900 has a pinpoint function and a 5-level depth indicator that Minelab calls a guide only, and in our experience a handheld pinpointer still speeds up recovery in the hole. Minelab gives the PRO-FIND 40 5 sensitivity levels, Ferrous Tone ID, vibration, an LED flashlight and a 24-month warranty. It is waterproof to 3 meters (10 feet), less than the detector's 5 meters, so keep that in mind in deeper water. See our pinpointers.

Minelab Backpack: a way to carry the detector and your gear to the site. The EQUINOX 900 collapses to 61 cm (24 inches) on its three-piece carbon fiber shaft, which makes it convenient to pack. More bags are in our Minelab carry bags and pouches.
