This is the genuine Nokta replacement armrest, part 17000685, for the Nokta Simplex+, Simplex+ WHP and The Legend. It replaces a cracked, broken or worn armrest and puts your detector back in balance, with the weight carried along your forearm instead of in your wrist during long hunts.
Which Nokta detectors this armrest fits
- Nokta Simplex+
- Nokta Simplex+ WHP
- Nokta The Legend
This armrest does not fit the newer Simplex LITE and Simplex ULTRA, the Score series or FindX. Those detectors use the newer Nokta armrest, part 17000689, which you will find in our Nokta Simplex Ultra collection. For other Nokta parts, check our Nokta product compatibility list.
How to tell which armrest you have
The 17000685 armrest has a solid, closed arm cuff with strap slots at both tips and three screw holes across the base of the cuff. The newer 17000689 armrest has a large open cutout in the middle of the cuff. Both have the fold-out legs underneath that let the detector stand on its own. If your old armrest has the closed cuff, this is the replacement.
Why replace a worn armrest
- Less arm strain: a solid armrest spreads the detector's weight along your forearm, so your wrist is not doing all the work on a long beach, park or relic hunt.
- Better control: a cracked or loose armrest lets the detector twist in your hand. A firm one keeps your sweep steady and your coil level, which helps when you are working a target.
- Exact fit: this is the genuine Nokta part made for these models, so it lines up with the existing shaft and hardware.
Installation
The armrest attaches to your detector's shaft with the existing mounting hardware, and most detectorists can swap it in a few minutes. The product photo shows the armrest with a single mounting screw. The forearm strap is a separate part, so move your old strap over or replace it if it is worn.
