The Nokta Headphones Adapter (part 17000731) lets you use your own wired headphones with a 1/4 in (6.3 mm) plug on a Nokta metal detector. It plugs into the detector's wired headphone socket and gives you a standard 1/4 in jack. It is the official Nokta part, so it fits the detector's socket correctly.
Who This Adapter Is For
This adapter is for Nokta owners who already have good wired detecting headphones and want to keep using them. It also suits detectors that shipped with wireless headphones, for times when you would rather not keep a second set of headphones charged.
It is not for water hunting. Nokta's Simplex manual says the adapter is for land use only. If you hunt in the surf or wade with the detector, look at Nokta's waterproof headphones in our metal detector headphones collection.
What It Does in Use
- Use the headphones you already own. Any wired headphones with a 1/4 in plug connect directly. Headphones with a 3.5 mm plug also need a 3.5 mm to 1/4 in step-up adapter.
- Volume settings switch automatically. On the Simplex, plugging in wired headphones changes the volume setting to Low and High levels, each adjustable from 1 to 4, according to Nokta's manual.
- Short and light. It is a small in-line adapter, not a cable, so it adds almost no weight to the control box.
Shares the Charging Socket
On the Simplex, wired headphones and the charger use the same socket. Nokta notes that you cannot plug in wired headphones while a power bank is connected. If you run your detector from a power bank on long hunts, plan on wireless headphones for those sessions.
What Is in the Box
- One Nokta 1/4 in (6.3 mm) headphones adapter, part 17000731

Compatibility
Fits these Nokta detectors, including models Nokta no longer makes, so owners of older units can still find the right part:
- Nokta Simplex ULTRA, Simplex LITE and Simplex BT
- Nokta Legend
- Nokta Score, Double Score and Triple Score
- Nokta FindX Pro (the standard FindX has its own 3.5 mm headphone socket)
- Nokta Gold Kruzer, Kruzer and Multi Kruzer
- Nokta Anfibio 14, Anfibio 19 and Anfibio Multi
- Nokta Gold Finder 2000
This is not the same adapter as the one for the Nokta Magnetar 9000, which uses part 17000031.
How It Differs From a Generic Headphone Adapter
A generic 1/4 in to 3.5 mm adapter changes one standard headphone plug size into another. It does not fit the headphone socket on these Nokta detectors. You need this Nokta adapter first. Then you can add a generic size adapter if your headphones use a 3.5 mm plug. You can find both, plus wired and wireless detecting headphones, in our headphones collection and the full Nokta range.
