    The Nokta Koss headphones (part 17000213) are wired over-ear headphones with a 1/4 in (6.3 mm) plug, supplied by Nokta for its detectors that use a full-size headphone socket. They are the straightforward choice for a Gold Finder 2000, Invenio, Impact, Deephunter 3D or Jeohunter 3D: plug in and go, no pairing and no battery.

    Who these headphones are for

    Buy these if your Nokta detector has a 1/4 in headphone socket and you want a simple wired headset for land hunting. They are not waterproof, so they stay on dry land; for wading or diving with a waterproof Nokta, you need the Nokta waterproof headphones instead.

    They do not plug straight into the current Nokta Simplex, Legend or Score lines, which use Nokta's own waterproof headphone connector or wireless audio. Headsets for those are in our metal detector headphones collection.

    What they are in use

    • Wired, 1/4 in (6.3 mm) plug. No lag and nothing to charge; the plug is the full-size type, so it also fits any other detector or amplifier with a 1/4 in socket.
    • Over-ear, headband style. Cups sit around the ear, which keeps wind noise down and lets you run the detector volume lower.
    • Not waterproof. Rain is one thing; submersion is not. Keep the plug and cups dry.

    The Nokta Koss headphones with the 1/4 in jack (part 17000213) fit the Nokta detectors with a full-size 1/4 in (6.3 mm) headphone socket: the Gold Finder 2000, the Invenio and Invenio Pro, the Impact, the Deephunter 3D and the Jeohunter 3D. Because the plug is the standard 1/4 in size, they also work on any other brand's detector with that socket. They do not plug directly into the current Nokta Simplex, Legend or Score detectors, which use Nokta's own waterproof connector or wireless audio.     Are the Nokta Koss headphones waterproof?

    No, the Nokta Koss headphones are not waterproof or water resistant. They are a dry-land wired headset with a 1/4 in plug, fine in light rain if you keep the plug and cups from getting soaked, but not for wading or submerged detecting. For a waterproof Nokta detector used in the water, Nokta makes a separate waterproof headphone set with its sealed connector. Both kinds are in our metal detector headphones collection.

    Do I need an adapter to use 1/4 in headphones on a Nokta detector with a smaller headphone socket?

    Yes, to use 1/4 in headphones such as the Nokta Koss set on a Nokta detector with a smaller socket you need an adapter. Nokta sells a universal 6.3 mm (1/4 in) headphone adapter for that purpose, and a separate one for the Magnetar 9000. On the Gold Finder 2000, Invenio, Impact, Deephunter and Jeohunter the 1/4 in plug goes straight in with no adapter. Adapters and cables for the brand are in our Nokta collection.
