The Quest Scuba Tector Pro is a pulse induction underwater metal detector rated to 200 feet (60 meters), built for divers and shallow water hunters who need clean signals where ordinary detectors fall apart. Its 95 kHz PI circuit stays quiet in saltwater and black sand, its open face STP20 search head sweeps wide like a small detector instead of sniffing like a pinpointer, and the whole unit folds on a 180 degree hinge to about 10 inches for the dive bag. An OLED display, audio, vibration, and LED alerts, and a Motion Control Diving Mode round out the most capable Scuba Tector Quest has built.
A Real Search Head, Not Just a Probe Tip
Most underwater pinpointers make you inspect the bottom a few inches at a time. The Scuba Tector Pro's STP20 open face head covers real ground with controlled sweeps through sand, silt, and tight spots between rocks, and Quest offers interchangeable coil options: a round head for wide scanning and a narrow head for cramped spaces. Salt stable pulse induction ignores the mineralization that forces VLF units into constant retuning, so wreck sites, tidal zones, and black sand beaches produce target signals instead of chatter. When a target sounds off, you choose how to hear it: buzzer audio for murky rivers, vibration for clear water where you want to save your air and attention, LED indication for the space between. At depth, where water pressure can fight physical buttons, the Motion Control Diving Mode keeps the detector fully usable, and the OLED screen gives simple status feedback on battery, sensitivity, and alarm mode at a glance. Topside, the included rod adaptor converts the Pro into a compact beach and surf detector, while the anchor ring tethers it safely to your rig underwater.
