Key features of the Treasure Products Vibra-Quatic 320
- Pulse induction, all metal: Treasure Products designs the Vibra-Quatic 320 for divers and for salt or fresh water, sand and black sand.
- Tip-only detection: the 2 inch (5 cm) head at the tip does the detecting, not the shaft.
- Vibration and blue light: a target gives you vibration and a bright blue LED light, which you can feel and see under water.
- Tilt on and off: no push buttons; the probe switches on and off by how it is tilted.
- Automatic tuning: there are no manual adjustments, and Treasure Products says detection distance holds steady over the life of the battery.
- Battery: one standard 9V battery, changed without tools, with a low-battery sensor.
- Sealed construction: stainless steel hardware and a sealed body rated to 100 feet (30 m).
- Made in the USA.
Where the Treasure Products Vibra-Quatic 320 works, and its limits
Rocks, submerged debris and swimming areas are where the Vibra-Quatic 320 belongs, in the hands of snorkelers and divers. When you investigate a lost ring beneath shallow water, the vibration and the light give useful feedback without relying on audible tones. The larger head is less suited to very narrow cracks than the Vibra-Probe 585. The common mistake is assuming its all-metal pulse induction response can tell gold from trash; it cannot.
