Condition and warranty on this open-box unit

Open box or new: which ACE 400 should you buy?

If the saving covers a pinpointer holster or coil cover, open box is the better buy; the detector is functionally identical and warranted the same. Buy new if you want a sealed box for a gift or plan to resell it later. Either way you get the ACE 400's strengths: Iron Audio that lets you hear ferrous junk at low volume instead of silencing it, so bottle caps and nails give themselves away before you dig; a 0 to 99 digital Target ID with three tones; adjustable frequency to step off interference at club hunts; and the 8.5" x 11" DD coil, which handles mineralised ground and wet sand better than the concentric coil on the ACE 300.
