Who the Axiom Lite Is For

We point three kinds of buyers at the Lite. The first is the prospector stepping up from a VLF who wants real pulse induction performance in hot ground but does not need two coils on day one. The second is the experienced PI user who already owns good headphones and wants to choose coils instead of paying for a preset pairing. The third is the beach hunter who wants a PI for wet salt sand and black sand and will run a mono coil most of the time anyway.

• Best for: Nugget hunting in mineralized goldfields, dry washes, tailings, and saltwater beaches where VLF machines chatter or lose depth.
• Less ideal for: Trashy relic sites and old camps, unless you add a DD coil. Iron Check only works with DD coils, and the Lite ships with a mono.

Axiom Lite vs. the Full Axiom Packages

The detector is identical across all three. What changes is what rides along in the box. If you know you want Iron Check and wireless audio from the first hunt, the larger packages cost less than building the same kit piece by piece. If you want to start lean and add only what your ground calls for, the Lite is the smarter buy.

Four Pulse Timings and Terra-Scan Ground Balance

Fine, Normal, Large, and Salt timings let you match the machine to the gold and the ground. Fine is the setting for small, low-conductivity pickers. Normal is the everyday setting for mixed-size gold. Large reaches for deeper, heavier targets. Salt quiets conductive wet sand and alkali flats. Terra-Scan reads two independent ground channels at once, so moving from conductive soil onto magnetic hot rock does not send the threshold into a fit. Four Ground Track options keep the balance current as the soil changes under the coil.
