Minelab X-TERRA PRO Metal Detector with PRO-FIND 15 Pinpointer

The Minelab X-TERRA PRO is the switchable-frequency member of the X-TERRA family: PRO-SWITCH lets you run 5, 10 or 15 kHz in Park and Field modes and 8 kHz in Beach mode at the press of a button, and the whole detector is IP68 waterproof to 16 ft (5 m). This bundle adds the Minelab PRO-FIND 15 pinpointer, a simple single-tone pinpointer waterproof to 5 ft, so you can locate targets in the hole from your first outing. Why Add the PRO-FIND 15

A pinpointer turns a dinner-plate hole into a plug you can put back. The PRO-FIND 15 gives a single tone and vibration that build as you close on the target, runs up to 30 hours on a standard 9 V battery, and is waterproof to 5 ft, so it survives wet grass, rain and shallow creek edges. It does not identify iron, so if you hunt trashy sites and want a ferrous tone, step up to the PRO-FIND 40 bundle. Other options are in our pinpointer collection.

Field Use

Parks and Sports Fields

Park 1 at 10 kHz with 5 Tones covers coins and jewelry. Clad and silver read in the high 70s to 90s; pull tabs scatter through the 40s and 50s. Run sensitivity at 20 to 22 and back off only if EMI creeps in.

Farm Fields and Relic Sites

Field 1 or 2 at 5 kHz reaches deeper on large relics and old copper; 15 kHz picks up small buttons and cut silver. Tracking ground balance keeps the machine quiet across changing soil, and Depth audio helps you decide which faint signals justify a deep hole.

Beach and Shallow Water

Beach 1 for dry and wet sand, Beach 2 in the water, both at the dedicated 8 kHz. The IP68 rating covers wading to 16 ft and the PRO-FIND 15 stays on your belt in the shallows. Pair it with a sand scoop.

X-TERRA PRO vs. X-TERRA ELITE

The PRO switches between single frequencies; the X-TERRA ELITE runs Multi-IQ simultaneous multi-frequency, which is the difference on wet salt beaches and in mineralized ground.
