The Garrett Camo Digger's Pouch, part 1612900, is a belt-mounted finds pouch for metal detecting. It has a 10 in deep zippered main pocket for finds, a second zippered pocket inside it for trash, and a MOLLE-type webbing grid on the front for a pinpointer or digging tool. The belt fits up to a 60 in waist. It suits any detectorist who wants finds, junk and a pinpointer on the hip rather than in trouser pockets, whatever brand of detector they swing.

Who this pouch is for, and who should look at something else

Park, field and relic hunters who dig a lot of targets and want trash kept apart from keepers without a second bag. The webbing grid is sized for Garrett's Pro-Pointer holster, so it is the natural match for a Garrett pinpointer, but any pinpointer holster with a belt loop will thread through it.

If you want three separate zippered pockets rather than one inside the other, or a pouch with its own belt in a smaller waist range, compare the Nokta and Serious Detecting pouches in our metal detector bags, pouches and covers collection. For a padded pouch that protects a detector or control box, see the rest of the Garrett carry bags and pouches.

Key features of the Garrett Camo Digger's Pouch

    • 10 in deep zippered main pocket. Deep enough for a day's coins and a few larger relics, and zippered so nothing works its way out when you kneel.
    • Interior zippered trash pocket. Pull tabs, can slaw and nails go in the inner pocket, so you empty the junk at the bin and the keepers at home.
    • MOLLE-type webbing grid. Garrett lists it for attaching a Pro-Pointer and tools. The grid takes a holster with a belt loop, a carabiner, or a small tool sheath.
    • Belt included, fits up to a 60 in waist. The pouch rides on its own belt, so you can wear it over a coat or wader in winter and take the whole thing off without touching your trouser belt.

    What is in the box

    • Waist belt

    Compatibility

    • Works with any detector; nothing on the pouch is brand specific.
    • Webbing grid fits the Garrett Pro-Pointer AT, Pro-Pointer AT Z-Lynk and Pro-Pointer II holsters, and other pinpointer holsters with a belt loop.
    • No padding. This is a finds pouch, not a case for a detector or control box.

Where it works well, and where it does not

    • Parks, fields and relic sites: this is the pouch's job. The inner trash pocket pays for itself on the first trashy park.
    • Beach and wading: fine for dry sand and for wading if the pouch stays above the water. Garrett does not rate it as waterproof, so rinse it in fresh water after salt and let it dry open. A scoop needs a separate clip; the webbing is sized for a pinpointer, not a long-handled scoop.
    • Heavy loads: one deep pocket means a heavy day of iron sits at the bottom and swings. Empty the trash pocket as you go.

How it compares to the other finds pouches we stock

    • Garrett Camo Digger's Pouch vs Garrett All Terrain Dig Pouch: the Camo pouch is the lighter, belt-only pouch with two pockets. Garrett's All Terrain Dig Pouch is its larger pouch with more pockets for water hunters who carry more. Both are in our Garrett carry bags and pouches collection.
    • Garrett Camo Digger's Pouch vs Nokta Finds Pouch Camo: the Nokta pouch has three separate zippered pockets and tool webbing; the Garrett has one deep pocket with a trash pocket inside it and comes with a belt that fits up to 60 in.

Does the Garrett Camo Digger's Pouch come with a belt, and what waist size does it fit?

Yes, the Garrett Camo Digger's Pouch comes with its own waist belt, and Garrett lists it as fitting up to a 60 in waist. Because the pouch has its own belt you can wear it over a jacket or waders and take the whole thing off in one move. If you need a pouch with a shorter belt or more pockets, compare the other options in our metal detector bags, pouches and covers collection.

Will a Garrett Pro-Pointer holster attach to the Camo Digger's Pouch?

Yes, the Garrett Pro-Pointer holster attaches to the Camo Digger's Pouch through the MOLLE-type webbing grid on the front, which Garrett lists specifically for a Pro-Pointer and tools. The holster's belt loop threads through the webbing straps, so the pinpointer rides on the pouch instead of taking up space on your belt. Pinpointer holsters from other brands with a belt loop fit the same way. The Pro-Pointer AT, Pro-Pointer AT Z-Lynk and Pro-Pointer II are in our Garrett pinpointers collection.

    Answered by Richard T. · October 2026

Is the Garrett Camo Digger's Pouch waterproof for beach hunting?

No, the Garrett Camo Digger's Pouch is not rated waterproof; Garrett does not give it a water rating. It is fine for dry sand and for wading as long as the pouch stays above the waterline, and the zippered pockets keep sand out of your finds. After salt water, rinse it in fresh water and let it dry with the pockets open. For a pouch or bag with more protection, see our Garrett carry bags and pouches collection.
