The Serious Detecting Camo Finds Pouch (SKU SD-007) is a belt-mounted finds bag for metal detecting. It has two large zippered pockets, including a 10 in deep treasure bag, plus an interior zippered pocket that keeps coins, rings and relics apart from the pull tabs and foil. It rides on its own adjustable belt that fits waists up to 42 in, so it works with any detector and any brand.

    Who this pouch is for

Park, field and relic hunters who want trash and keepers sorted while they dig, and water hunters who want a bag that stays put on its own belt rather than hanging off a pants belt. It is a good first pouch and an easy spare.

If you spend most of your time in the surf, the Serious Detecting mesh-bottom beach finds bag drains sand and water as you work and runs a slightly longer belt; find it with the rest of our Serious Detecting finds pouches, carry bags and sheaths. If you also need a bag to carry the detector itself, the same collection has this pouch bundled with our padded carry bag.

Key features and what they mean in use

    • Two large zippered pockets: zippers keep small coins and jewelry from bouncing out when you kneel, bend or wade.
    • 10 in deep treasure bag: deep enough for a full day of park trash and bulk recoveries without emptying it mid-hunt.
    • Interior zippered pocket: a separate, closed spot for the good finds, so you are not picking a silver dime out of a handful of bottle caps at the truck.
    • Own adjustable belt, up to 42 in waist (48 in total length): fits over jeans or shorts and stays in place in the water because it does not depend on your trouser belt.
    • Camo pattern: hides dirt and blends in at woods and field sites.

    What is in the box

    • Serious Detecting camo finds pouch
    • Adjustable waist belt

Not included: pinpointer or digging tool. See our pinpointers and shovels, diggers and picks.

    Compatibility

The pouch is not tied to any detector. It works alongside Minelab, Garrett, Nokta, XP, Fisher or any other brand, and with any pinpointer or hand digger you carry separately on your belt.

Where it works well and where it does not

At its best in parks, yards, plowed fields and wooded relic sites, and for wading freshwater and calm beaches where the belt keeps it secure. It is a fabric pouch, not a dry bag: in the surf it will take on water and sand, so empty and rinse it after saltwater sessions and let it dry open. For heavy surf hunting, the mesh-bottom beach finds bag is the better choice. At 10 in deep, it holds a day of coins and trash but not large relics or a full-size shovel.

How it compares to our other finds pouches

Serious Detecting mesh-bottom beach finds bag: same belt-mounted idea with a mesh bottom that drains, made for the surf; belt fits up to 43 in. Serious Detecting padded carry bag and pouch set: this same camo pouch packaged with the 51 in padded detector bag for people who need both. Compare every belt pouch in our finds pouches, belts and lightweight covers collection.

Can I use the Serious Detecting camo finds pouch for water hunting?

Yes, you can use the Serious Detecting camo finds pouch for water hunting. It secures with its own adjustable belt, so it stays on your waist while wading instead of sliding around on a trouser belt, and the zippered pockets keep finds in when you bend into the water. It is a fabric pouch rather than a drain bag, so after a saltwater session empty it, rinse it and let it dry open. If most of your hunting is in the surf, the mesh-bottom beach finds bag in our Serious Detecting finds pouches and carry bags collection drains sand and water as you go.

Does the Serious Detecting camo finds pouch work with any brand of metal detector?

Yes, the Serious Detecting camo finds pouch works with any brand of metal detector. It is a belt pouch with nothing that attaches to the detector, so it is equally at home next to a Minelab, Garrett, Nokta, XP or Fisher machine. Any pinpointer or hand digger you own rides on your belt beside it. Browse the rest of our metal detector bags, pouches and covers if you also need a case for the detector itself.

How do I clean the Serious Detecting camo finds pouch after a muddy or beach hunt?

To clean the Serious Detecting camo finds pouch after a muddy or beach hunt, empty both zippered pockets and the interior pocket, shake out the sand, rinse the pouch and belt in fresh water, and hang it open to air dry. Avoid a hot dryer, which is hard on zippers and the belt webbing. Rinsing after saltwater matters most, since dried salt stiffens the fabric and gums up the zippers. Keep a hand digger from our shovels, diggers and picks collection on the same belt and you have the whole recovery kit in one place.
