SD Exclusives: Serious Detecting and TerraX Gear

SD Exclusives are our staff's picks of gear sold under the Serious Detecting and TerraX names. Serious Detecting gear covers the field basics: finds pouches, padded detector bags, diggers with belt sheaths, hats, gloves and shirts. TerraX covers the recovery and prospecting side: hand diggers, T-handle shovels, picks, sand scoops, gold pans, classifiers and sluice boxes. Most of it works with any metal detector, which makes it an easy gift.

Serious Detecting field gear

Our own gear covers what every detectorist carries on a hunt: a finds pouch with room for a pinpointer, a padded bag for the detector, a digger with a belt sheath, and the hats and gloves that come home dirty every weekend. None of it depends on the detector brand.

TerraX digging and prospecting tools

TerraX covers the recovery side: hand diggers, trowels, T-handle shovels and picks for getting targets out of the ground, and prospecting gear such as gold pans, sluice boxes, classifiers and scoops for working gravel. TerraX gear suits a prospector getting started as well as one adding to an existing kit.
