The Blue Bowl Deluxe Clear Bulb Snuffer pulls gold out of places your fingers and tweezers cannot reach. Squeeze the bulb, slip the long metal tube into a bedrock crack or crevice, and release to suck up flakes, pickers and the gravel around them. The clear barrel lets you check what you caught before you empty it into a vial.

Should I get a bulb snuffer or a squeeze-bottle snuffer?

The bulb snuffer's long metal tube reaches deep into bedrock cracks and crevices. A squeeze-bottle snuffer holds more and is easier for picking flakes out of a pan. Many prospectors carry both, like this one plus a Garrett Gold Guzzler snuffer bottle.

Can I use this snuffer underwater?

Yes. Squeeze the bulb before the tip goes in the water, work it into the crack, then release to pull in gold and gravel. Keep the tip pointed down as you lift it out. More sniping gear is in our prospecting collection.

What's the difference between this and the lanyard version?

The Blue Bowl bulb snuffer with lanyard wrist strap adds a strap, so it stays with you in moving water. Otherwise both do the same job.
