The Groundtech A2 is a next-generation hybrid system that combines a professional-grade 3D ground scanner with a heavy-duty 1 kHz pulse induction metal detector in one compact, standalone unit. Built for professional treasure hunters, relic seekers, and archaeologists, the A2 uses upgraded MFS-3 dual sensors to reach scanning depths of up to 65 feet (20 meters), mapping buried metals, graves, rooms, and cavity structures such as tunnels while its integrated detector discriminates valuable non-ferrous metals from iron trash in the upper soil layers. Everything runs on the built-in HD color screen, with no phone or tablet required.
Two Instruments in One Device
Switch instantly between the 3D Ground Scanning System for deep anomaly mapping and the pulse induction detector for fast, conventional metal detecting. The 3D system detects, measures, and locates buried metals, magnetic objects, and cavities, while the Detector Quick Scan System distinguishes ferrous (iron) from non-ferrous metals and detects all valuable and non-valuable targets.

The A2 is equipped for any terrain with 3D Ground Scanning, Live Scanning, Pinpointer Function, Detector Quick Scan, Detector Advanced Scan, and 3D Ground Scanning Detector Mode. The Detector Advanced Scan mode allows detailed settings, deeper detection, and clear separation of ferrous metals from valuable finds like gold, silver, and copper.
Perfect MFS-3 Dual Sensor Technology
High-sensitivity MFS-3 dual gradiometer sensors with a wide plus or minus 3000 microtesla measurement range deliver more sensitive and deeper scanning while minimizing the margin of error. Combined with a fast 240 MHz processor and 12-bit A/D converter, the A2 renders precise, color-coded results in real time, graphically separating magnetic metals (iron or steel) from non-magnetic treasures (gold, silver, or copper).
Standalone Operation with 3D Analysis on Your Smartphone
No external phone or tablet is required to start your hunt. Settings, modes, and instant scan graphics display directly on the integrated HD color screen. For deeper analysis, pair via Bluetooth 4.2 BLE with the G-Portal application for Android and iOS to visualize targets in full 3D, calculate depth, and isolate target shapes. The device supports 11 languages on-screen and 25 languages in the mobile app.

The A2 ships ready for the field with both PiD25 and PiD30 detector search coils, letting you match the coil to the site, plus a premium audio headset for clear target response in noisy or windy conditions.
