The Groundtech A2 GEO is a 3-in-1 professional geophysical system for advanced archaeologists, utility locators, and serious treasure hunters. It combines a deep-seeking 3D ground scanner, an integrated 1 kHz pulse induction metal detector, and a Geo-Electric resistivity system in a single compact field instrument. With next-generation MFS-3 dual sensors reaching depths of up to 65 feet (20 meters), the A2 GEO locates buried metals, tombs, tunnels, caves, and even groundwater sources far beyond the limits of standard detectors, and it runs fully standalone on its built-in HD color screen.
Three Instruments in One Device
Switch instantly between the 3D Ground Scanning System for mapping buried metals, graves, rooms, and cavity structures, the pulse induction detector for fast metal detecting and discrimination in the upper soil layers, and the Geo-Electric resistivity system for ultra-deep subterranean mapping. No other unit in the Groundtech range covers this much ground with one tool.

Geo-Electric System for Water, Cavities, and Deep Structures
The A2 GEO's defining feature is its integrated Geo-Electric resistivity system (100 V, 66 mA output at 62 Hz with a 50 sample interval). Using four conductive probes and four 82-foot (25-meter) conductor cables, it detects groundwater sources, underground tunnels, ancient tombs, and caves from much deeper levels. Scanning runs quickly across four survey lines in both manual and automatic configurations, and results are analyzed in 3D through the Groundtech Suite application.
Eight Scanning Modes for Complete Exploration
The A2 GEO is equipped for any terrain with 3D Ground Scanning, Live Scanning, Pinpointer Function, Detector Quick Scan, Detector Advanced Scan, 3D Ground Scanning Detector Mode, Resistivity Automatic Scanning, and Resistivity Manual Scanning. The Detector Advanced Scan mode allows detailed settings, deeper detection, and clear separation of ferrous metals from valuable non-ferrous finds.
Perfect MFS-3 Dual Sensor Technology
High-sensitivity MFS-3 dual gradiometer sensors with a wide plus or minus 3000 microtesla measurement range deliver more sensitive and deeper scanning while minimizing the margin of error. Combined with a fast 240 MHz processor and 12-bit A/D converter, the A2 GEO renders precise, color-coded results in real time, graphically separating magnetic metals (iron or steel) from non-magnetic treasures (gold, silver, or copper).
Standalone Operation with 3D Analysis on Your Smartphone
No external phone or tablet is required to start your survey. Settings, modes, and instant scan graphics display directly on the integrated HD color screen. For deeper analysis, pair via Bluetooth 4.2 BLE with the G-Portal application for Android and iOS to visualize targets in full 3D, calculate depth, and isolate target shapes. The device supports 11 languages on-screen and 25 languages in the mobile app.
