The Groundtech GR-4 is a next-generation 3D ground scanner for professional treasure hunters, archaeologists, and serious detectorists who want deep exploration without depending on a phone in the field. Using advanced MFS-2 dual gradiometer sensors, the GR-4 reaches scanning depths of up to 49 feet (15 meters), detecting buried metals, magnetic objects, graves, rooms, and cavities such as tunnels. Its built-in high-resolution color display shows scanning modes, settings, and instant graphic results directly on the device, so it operates fully standalone.
Standalone 3D Ground Scanner with Built-In Color Display
While scanning with the GR-4, settings and results display to the user on the integrated screen of the device. View all scanning modes, analyze targets, and clearly identify anomalies right in the field with no phone or tablet required. When you want deeper analysis, the device also provides real-time, detailed 3D visualization through the G-Portal (Groundtech Portal) application for Android and iOS.

Three Scanning Modes for Any Search Scenario
Switch seamlessly between the 3D Ground Scanning System for systematic surveys that map targets in three dimensions, the Live Scanning Function for quick, graphical detection without being bound to a specific search pattern, and the Pinpointer Function to lock onto the exact location of objects before you dig.
Perfect MFS-2 Dual Sensor Technology
High-sensitivity MFS-2 dual gradiometer sensors with a plus or minus 2000 microtesla measurement range deliver sensitive, deep scanning while minimizing the margin of error. Combined with a fast 240 MHz processor and 12-bit A/D converter, the GR-4 renders precise, color-coded results in real time, graphically separating magnetic metals (iron or steel) from non-magnetic treasures (gold, silver, or copper).
3D and 4D Analysis on Your Smartphone
Save your scan data with the G-Portal mobile app via Bluetooth 4.2 BLE, examine 3D and 4D analyses in more detail, and generate comprehensive survey reports. The device supports 11 languages on-screen and 25 languages in the mobile app, and the internal Li-ion battery runs approximately 10 hours per charge.
Field-Adaptive Design
With its foldable modular body structure, adjustable grip angle, and removable sensor module, the GR-4 is a leader in its class for portability and field adaptability. It packs down small for travel and sets up in seconds, comfortable for long survey days on sandy, rocky, or clay ground.
