About This Skidplate
The 8" Tornado coil is a workhorse for Minelab detectors, especially the Sovereign GT. But constant contact with the ground takes its toll. This skidplate acts as a sacrificial barrier, taking the punishment so your expensive coil doesn't have to.
We've seen too many detectorists try to keep hunting with worn-through coil bottoms, only to have moisture get inside and ruin the electronics. At this price point, it's cheap insurance for your investment. The black finish also looks sharp and professional compared to a scratched-up bare coil.
Compatibility
