These are Nokta's own Bluetooth headphones for the Legend, Simplex BT and Simplex Ultra, and the Score family. They run aptX Low Latency, which is what makes wireless audio usable on a metal detector: the tone reaches your ears close enough to real time that you can pinpoint by ear instead of chasing a delayed signal. If you bought a WHP package your detector already came with a pair; this listing is the replacement or the add-on for a detector bought without them.
Which Nokta detectors pair with these headphones
They pair automatically with the Nokta Legend and Legend 2, the Simplex BT and Simplex Ultra, the Score, Double Score and Triple Score, and the AccuPOINT pinpointer. Turn the headphones on first, then switch on Bluetooth on the detector and they connect without a menu dance. The original Simplex+ (non-BT) and older Nokta Makro machines without Bluetooth are not compatible; those need a wired headphone with the right connector. Note that these headphones are not waterproof, so for surf and shallow-water hunting with the Legend or Score use Nokta's wired waterproof headphones and keep these for dry land. See our full range of metal detector headphones if you are not sure which fits.
What they are like to hunt with
The over-ear cups seal out wind and traffic well enough that faint deep signals on the Legend's multi-frequency programs come through clearly, and the adjustable headband stays put when you bend to dig. Battery is a built-in 1,200 mAh lithium-polymer pack charged over USB; a red LED shows while charging and goes out when full, and a full charge covers several long sessions. Bluetooth 5.0 gives about 10 meters (33 feet) of range, more than enough to walk away from the detector to dig or scoop. On the Score and Legend, the detector's own volume and tone settings carry through to the headphones, so you set audio once on the machine. They will also pair with a phone for calls or music between sites, though the low-latency mode is only used with the detector.
